Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge

  • Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (used in many films).

  • Continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.”

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todgha Gorge – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

• Drive Time: ~5 hours (270 km)

  • Explore the dramatic Todgha Gorge, with its towering canyon walls.

  • Drive through Berber villages and oases toward Merzouga.

  • Arrive in Merzouga, meet your camel caravan.

  • Camel trek into the desert to watch the sunset.

  • Sleep in a luxury or standard desert camp under the stars.

• Overnight: Desert camp in Erg Chebbi dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert Exploration

• Activities:

  • Visit nomadic families living near the dunes.

  • Explore Khamlia village, home to Gnawa musicians.

  • See the lake of Merzouga (if seasonal).

  • Optional 4×4 desert tour or quad biking.

  • Relax and enjoy a second night in the desert.

Day 4: Merzouga – Alnif – N’Kob – Agdz – Ouarzazate
